If Telemann had composed his 12 Violin-Fantasias for the lute instead, he would surely have capitalized on the wide possibilities of this instrument (chords, bass). In arranging this wonderful music for the guitar, Jurg Kindle allowed himself to complet the harmony structure and contrapuntal lines, always in compliance with the baroque rules.
All the fantaisies are arranged in their original keys except No. III which was transposed from f-minor to e-minor.
