Method book 1 by Eta Cohen for violin (student's book)

This book is divided into 30 'steps'. There is no inflexible rule about the speed at which pupils should progress - it will vary according to ability and size of class. Each stage should be thoroughly assimilated and understood before moving forward.

This highly respected, best-selling violin course in 4 books is used all over the world. Ideal for group or individual tuition, it offers a practical foundation in good playing techniques, based around a wealth of well-known melodies.

Method book 2 by Eta Cohen for violin (student's book)

Book 2
A variety of different bowings are introduced so that the pupil learns how to use and become familiar with every part of the bow.
Every exercise and piece introduced in this book is designed to improve some aspect of technique.
Violinists will also enjoy playing these melodies, which with their attractive piano accompaniments and violin duet parts, have been carefully selected to give pleasure at any stage.

Method book 3 by Eta Cohen for violin (student's book)

Book 3 of this method introduces third position and new major and minor keys, in addition to fourth finger extensions and half position.

The third position work is slow and thorough so there are numerous exercises, along with plenty of tuneful solos and duets. These should keep interest alive while technical difficulties are surmounted.

Eta Cohen is an internationally famous violin teacher, giving lectures and demonstrations in Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand. Her pupils have consistently gained the highest awards in both solo playing and chamber music and many are now professional musicians.

Methode book 4 by Eta Cohen for violin (a separate piano accompaniment part is inserted)

The 2nd, 4th and 5th positions are introduced, also trills, double stopping, chords, spiccato and sautille bowings. Each new technique is demonstrated in a short study. The difficulties of each hand are isolated and only one point intouduced at a time.
A separate piano accompaniment section is included within this volume.
