Wedding march from "A Midsummer night's dream" op.61 n°9 by Félix Mendelssohn Bartholdy for piano
This is the No. 7 Dream of a Summer Night op. 61 (1843), incidental music for Shakespeare's eponymous play. The Mendelssohn piece was used for the wedding of Princess Vicky, the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria with Prince Frederick of Prussia, Jan. 25, 1858. Its use by Erich Wolfgang Korngold music for the film The Dream of a Summer Night (1935), one of the first films set to music, made it even more popular.
